JOBS for ENGINEERS

2. (Ref. No.F.1/167/2006-R-VI, No.F.1/201/2007-R-VI & No.F.1/265/2007-R-VI) FIVE SENIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS, GRADE-II(ELECTRONICS) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service. Out of five posts, two posts are reserved for OBC candidates. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Degree in Electronics/Communication Engineering / Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. OR Master’s degree in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics as special subject. B. Experience : Two years’ practical experience in production, development or quality assurance in the field of Communication, Radar, Navigation Electronic Test equipment and Electronic Component. DESIRABLE : i) Certificate course in German or French or Russian. ii) Second class in (i) above. DUTIES : Evaluation, Inspection and quality assurance of radar communication and navigational equipment, electronics test equipment and component during development manufacture and overhaul. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : Any member of service, shall, if so required, liable to serve as a commissioned officer in the Armed Forces for a period of not less than four years including the period spent on training, if any, Provided that such officer :- a) shall not be required to serve as aforesaid after the expiry of ten years from the date of appointment and b) shall not ordinarily be required to serve as aforesaid after attaining the age of forty years.


3. (Ref. No.F.1/199/2007-R-VI & F.1/264/2007-R-VI) FOUR SENIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS, GRADE –II(MECHANICAL) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service. Out of four posts, one post is reserved for Scheduled Castes and two posts are reserved for ST candidates. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE : Two years’ practical experience in production, development or quality assurance in the field of aircraft/missile/air armament and other airborne stores and related ground support equipments. DESIRABLE : QUALIFICATION : Same as in Item No.2 above. DUTIES : Inspection and quality assurance of aircraft, aero engines and allied systems during manufacture and overhaul/air armament/Indigenisation of airborne and ground equipment. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : Same as in Item No 2 above.


4. (Ref. No.F.1/200/2007-R-VI & Ref.No.F.1/268/2007-R-VI) THREE SENIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS, GRADE –II(ELECTRICAL) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service. Out of three posts, one post is reserved for OBC candidates. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE : Two years’ practical experience in production, development or quality assurance in the field of Electrical systems and equipment in aircraft/missile / armament and other airborne stores and related ground support equipments. DESIRABLE : QUALIFICATION : Same as in Item No.2 above. DUTIES : Quality assurance of DG sets/Electrical Machines/Electrical cables/Batteries/Aircraft ground support equipment/aircraft electrical systems and accessories during indigenous development, production/repair/overhaul of Aircraft. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : Same as in Item No. 2 above.


5. (Ref. No.F.1/267/2007-R-VI) ONE SENIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER, GRADE –II(COMPUTER ENGINEERING) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : A. EDUCATIONAL : Master’s Degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Physics with Computer Science or equivalent or Degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. EXPERIENCE : Two years’ experience in a responsible position in Quality Assurance of embedded and application software development relating to aeronautical/electronics industry. DESIRABLE : QUALIFICATION : Same as in Item No. 2 above. DUTIES : Evaluation, inspection and quality assurance of embedded and application software relating to airborne systems, ground system and automated test equipment. ANY OTHER CONDITIONS : Same as in Item No 2 above.


6. (Ref. No.F.1/155/2007-R-VI) ONE JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER(COMPUTER) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Civilian in Defence Services. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : EDUCATIONAL : Degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. OR Master’s Degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Physics with Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent. DESIRABLE : Two years’ experience in Quality Assurance or Inspection or Production or Development in areas of discipline related to aircraft and its accessories. DUTIES : Inspection and Quality Assurance of aeronautical items during development and production, such as systems and equipments in aircraft/missile/ air armament and other airborne stores and related ground support equipments.

7. (Ref. No.F.1/151/2007-R-VI) TEN JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS(MECHANICAL) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Civilian in Defence Services. Out of the ten posts, one post is reserved for SC, two posts are reserved for ST and two posts are reserved for OBC candidates. Qualifications : Essential : Educational : Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. DESIRABLE : QUALIFICATION & DUTIES : Same as in Item No. 6 above.

8. (Ref. No.F.1/153/2007-R-VI) SIX JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICERS(ELECTRONICS) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Civilian in Defence Services. Out of the six posts, one post each is reserved for SC & OBC candidates. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : EDUCATIONAL : Degree in Electronics/Communication Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. OR Master’s Degree in Electronics or in Physics with Electronics as a special subject from a recognized University. DESIRABLE : QUALIFICATION : Same as in Item No. 6 above. DUTIES : Inspection and quality assurance of aeronautical items during development and production, such as communication, radar, navigation electronic test equipment and electronic components.


9. (Ref. No.F.1/154/2007-R-VI) ONE JUNIOR SCIENTIFIC OFFICER(METALLURGY) IN THE DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF AERONAUTICAL QUALITY ASSURANCE, MINISTRY OF DEFENCE. Civilian in Defence Services. QUALIFICATIONS : ESSENTIAL : EDUCATIONAL : Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. DESIRABLE : Same as in Item No. 6 above. DUTIES : Inspection and quality assurance of aeronautical items during development and production, such as material/components and various composites for military aircraft, aero engines and missiles.
